Everything you need to know about Aari Works and our craft

πŸͺ‘ About Aari Works

Aari Works is a handcrafted embroidery atelier based in Nashik, Maharashtra. We specialise in traditional Aari embroidery for bridal blouses, sarees, lehengas and custom garments.

Founded over a decade ago, we have built a trusted reputation across Maharashtra for precision, artistry, and deeply personalised service. Every piece is entirely handcrafted β€” no machine shortcuts.

Aari embroidery is an ancient Indian needlework technique that uses a hooked needle (called an "aari") to create intricate designs on fabric. It originated in Kashmir and has flourished across India, especially in bridal fashion.

Unlike frame embroidery, aari work is done with the fabric stretched on a frame, allowing the artisan to create fine, continuous chainstitches, loops, and complex motifs with great speed and precision.

It is commonly combined with zardozi (goldwork), kundan (stone setting), bead work, and mirror work to create richly embellished bridal pieces.

We are based in Nashik, Maharashtra. For the exact address and directions, please call or WhatsApp us at +91 77679 77448 and we will guide you to our atelier.

We are open Monday to Saturday, 9am – 7pm.

We have been crafting handmade embroidery for over 10 years. In this time, we have completed more than 500 bridal pieces and served clients across Nashik, Pune, Mumbai and beyond.

Our experience spans bridal blouses, saree borders, lehenga panels, dupatta work, and fully custom bespoke embroidery projects.

πŸ“‹ Orders & Process

Placing an order is simple:

  • Call or WhatsApp us at +91 77679 77448
  • Share your fabric, design reference, and occasion details
  • We discuss design, timeline and pricing
  • Once confirmed, drop off your fabric at our Nashik atelier
  • We keep you updated throughout the crafting process

We also accept outstation orders β€” fabric can be couriered to us and we send back the finished piece.

Absolutely β€” custom orders are our specialty. We can work from:

  • A reference photo or Pinterest inspiration
  • Your own sketch or description
  • A design we help you develop from scratch
  • Matching an existing saree or lehenga pattern

No design idea is too complex. We love a creative challenge.

Not necessarily. Many of our clients from Pune, Mumbai and other cities place orders remotely via WhatsApp. You can share design references, fabric details and measurements digitally.

However, for complex bridal work β€” especially where neckline fitting is critical β€” we do recommend at least one visit or a trusted local tailor's measurements.

Turnaround time depends on the complexity of the work:

  • Simple neckline / sleeve work: 5–10 days
  • Full bridal blouse with stonework: 15–25 days
  • Heavy zardozi or full saree border: 25–45 days
  • Rush orders: Available at a surcharge depending on availability

We always confirm a realistic delivery date before starting. We never compromise quality for speed.

Yes. We typically require a 50% advance at the time of order confirmation, with the balance due on delivery or pickup.

Payment can be made via cash, UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm) or bank transfer. Please ask us for details when placing your order.

  • Stone & kundan work β€” hand-set stones and rhinestones
  • Bead work β€” seed beads, bugle beads, pearl drops
  • Mirror work β€” traditional shisha embroidery

We will advise you if a particular fabric is unsuitable for a specific technique before starting work.

We are an embroidery atelier, not a fabric store β€” so you bring your own fabric or blouse piece. This ensures the embroidery perfectly matches your saree or outfit.

If you need guidance on what fabric to purchase for best results, we are happy to advise.

Yes! While bridal blouses are our most popular work, we also embroider:

🌸 Care & After Service

To preserve your embroidered piece:

  • Dry clean only β€” avoid machine or hand washing
  • Store in a muslin cloth, not a plastic bag, to prevent moisture damage
  • Keep away from direct sunlight to prevent thread fading
  • Iron on reverse side only at low heat; never iron directly on stonework or beads
  • Handle stones and beaded areas gently to avoid loosening

With proper care, aari embroidery lasts a lifetime and can be passed down as a treasured heirloom.

Yes, we offer repair and restoration services for embroidered garments β€” including re-attaching fallen stones, re-doing worn thread sections, or refreshing an old bridal blouse.

Please WhatsApp us a photo of the garment first so we can assess the work required and give you a quote.

Your satisfaction is our priority. If the work does not match the agreed design or has a quality issue, we will correct it at no extra charge.

We encourage clients to check the work before final payment. Once you have approved and accepted the piece, we cannot be responsible for changes of preference. Please review our Terms & Conditions for full details.
